BUSINESS

1. Passport with Minimum of six months validity
2. Duly completed online visa application form
3. Applicant's return air ticket/Itinerary
4. A letter of invitation from a company/host in Nigeria accepting Immigration responsibility

5. Self sponsored Businessman may not require letter of invitation, but will require to show evidence of sufficient funds

6. Copy of data page of passport or residence permit of signatory to invitation letter
7. Certificate of Incorporation for the Nigerian company
8. Applicant's Company Guarantee Letter
9. Hong Kong ID card copy

10. Evidence of hotel reservation or host address in Nigeria

11. Evidence of online payment for visa fees

TOURIST

1. Passport with minimum of six months validity
2. Duly completed online form
3. Applicant's return air ticket/Itinerary
4. Evidence of sufficient funds
5. Hong Kong ID card copy
6. Hotel Reservation or Invitation letter from host in Nigeria with detailed resident address

7. Evidence of online payment 

SUBJECT TO REGULARIZATION (STR) OR WORKING VISA

1. Passport (Valid for at least six months)
2. Duly completed online Application form and IMM 22 forms with five (5) passport photographs
3. Letter of expatriate quota approval from the Nigerian Ministry of Interior (5 copies)
4. Company guarantee letter (5 copies)
5. Detailed letter of employment/Employment contract (5 copies)
6. Letter of acceptance of appointment (5 copies)
7. Curriculum Vitae and Credentials of applicant, vetted at the consulate (5 copies)
8. Extract of the minuites of Board's Resolution (only for Chief Executive Positions)

9. Evidence of online payment

TEMPORARY WORK PERMIT (TWP)

1. Valid passport (at least six months)

2. Completed online forms with payment slip

3. Two passport photographs

4. Confirmed airline return ticket

5. A cabled copy of Comptroller General of Immigration Services approval

6. Acceptance of Immigration Responsibility by inviting organization or Individual, obtainable only from the office of the Comptroller General of Immigration in the Nigeria Immigration service Headquarters, Abuja.

CONSULAR SERVICES

GENERAL INFORMATION/GUIDELINES

 

  • The Consulate is accredited to Hong Kong and Macau SAR of China and therefore provides services to residents of these two SAR and by extension Consular Services to Nigerians in Taiwan.
  • Documents which are issued in Nigeria, submitted for attestation (marriage/birth/educational certificate/ driving license etc) must first be authenticated at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Abuja, Nigeria as per the details at https://foreignaffairs.gov.ng/doc_auth
  • All original documents are to be produced for verification only and need not be submitted.
  • Documents issued in Hong Kong/Macau, submitted for attestation such as marriage/divorcecertificates, must first be apostilled by the Hong Kong High Court, while otherdocuments could either be apostilled by the High Court or Notarized by a NotaryPublic in Hong Kong/Macau
  • Documents issued in foreign countries (other than Nigeria /Hong Kong/Macau) must first be authenticated by the Nigerian Embassy or Consulate in that country or by the Consulate of that country in Hong Kong/Macau.
  • The normal duration for Attestation services is two working days.
  • As proof of address, the following documents (not older than 3 months) shall be submitted namely-Utility bill, Bank statement, Credit card bill or Lease Agreement.
  • Prior appointment is not required to avail this service and applicants can walk-in during working hours on Mon, Wed and Fri, between the hours of 11:00am and 03:00pm.

A.      VERIFICATION OF DRIVERS LICENCE

Applicants applying for direct issuanceof a full Hong Kong Driving Licence on the strength of his/her Nigerian DriversLicence, are required as per rule, to mandatorily verify such licence at the ConsulateGeneral of Nigeria in Hong Kong. Applicants are expected to come alongwith the following:

  • Letter issued by the Hong Kong Transport Department.
  • The Original Nigerian Drivers Licence and a clear coloured copy of the Licence. (Front & Back on one page).
  • Applicants’ Original International Passport and a clear copy of the bio-data page. 
  • Copy of the International Passport pages containing dates of entry & exit which shows that the applicant was in Nigeria on the date of issuance.
  •  Clear Copy of the applicant’s Hong Kong Identity Card (HKID).                

Note:   Applicants are expected to pay aNon-refundable fee of HK$100 and application cannot not be made by proxy.Additionally, any Drivers Licence discovered to be fake will be confiscated bythe Consulate.

B.      ATTESTATION OF DOMESTICHELPER’S CONTRACT

 Documents Required

  • Duly filled and endorsed Employment Contract Form (ID 407) in quadruplicate
  • A written application letter addressed to the Consul General. 
  • A copy of the Hong Kong /Macau ID of the employer.
  • A copy of the employer’s International Passport.
  • Address proof of the employer.
  • A copy of the Domestic Helper’s International Passport.
  • Witness Hong Kong ID/International Passport Bio-data page.
  • Fee of HKD $300.

C.      ATTESTATION OF DOCUMENTS

 

1.    INDIVIDUAL

·        An application letter addressed to theConsul General. 

·        A copy of the Hong Kong /Macau ID/validvisa of the applicant.

·        Original and photocopy of the documentto be attested.

·        Service fee of HKD $100 per page.

·        The normal duration for attestation isTwo (2) working days.

      2. COMPANIES

·         Application letter on thecompany’s letterhead (along with chop) of the company mentioning therequirement and the list of documents to be attested.

·         The applicant is required topresent a Letter of Authorization, permitting him/her to act on behalf of thecompany.

·         The Hong Kong/Macau ID of theapplicant who is acting on behalf of the company.

·        Service fee of HKD $100 per page.

·        The normal duration for attestation istwo (2) working days

D.        RENUNCIATION OF CITIZENSHIP

A Nigerian Citizen not below the age of 18 is afforded theconstitutional right to renounce his/her citizenship. Prospective applicantswho desire to renounce their Nigerian citizenship should note that the power toapprove renunciation/restoration of Nigerian citizenship is the soleprerogative of Mr. President, as enshrined in Chapter III, Article 29, sub.Section 1-2, of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. 

Documents Required

 

  • The original Letter of Renunciation issued by the Ministry of Interior in Nigeria.
  • An Application Letter, duly signed by the applicant and addressed to the Consul General.
  • Two copies of recent passport photographs.
  • Evidence of alternative citizenship.
  • Nigerian international passport.
  • Service fee of HKD $100.
